Tea & Testimony

Stories of joy and struggles, tears and laughter, and the grace of God surrounded us as PazNaz MOPS celebrated its 2nd annual Tea & Testimony at our April 1st meeting.

The room was bright with Spring colors in the form of bouquets of roses, orchids, irises, daffodils and tulips. What a treat it was for us to dine on real china with silverware! The petite sandwiches were delicious, the scones scrumptious and the mini cupcakes a sheer delight. This tea party gave us a lovely excuse to dress up, dine on dainty tea cuisine and enjoy unhurried conversation with our friends.

Three of our MOPS mothers shared their testimonies that morning. Jayme, Jen and Vina had different stories, but each resonated with the power of God's grace and love in the lives of his people. Their words deeply affected us, and opened the doors for other moms to share their stories with the ladies at their table and further the bonds of friendship.

These are some of the bible verses shared by Jayme, Jen and Vina in their testimonies:

Romans 5:3b-5 "...because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us."

Psalms 61:1-4 "Hear my cry, O God; listen to my prayer.  From the ends of the earth I call to you; I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I.  For you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the foe.  I long to dwell in your tent forever and take refuge in the shelter of your wings."

Psalms 139:13-18 "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.  I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.  My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place.  When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body.  All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.  How precious to me are your thoughts, O God!  How vast is the sum of them!  Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand.  When I awake, I am still with you."

2 Corinthians 6:18 "I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty."

Thank you, ladies, for your listening ears and hearts of compassions. And thank you, Jayme, Jen and Vina, for sharing your faith-filled testimonies with all of us.
